The EIA Notification and the EIA Documentation

Each construction project which is given in the Annex to Act 100/2001 Coll. must go through the EIA process.

  • All projects listed in Annex I are considered as having significant effects on the environment and require an EIA
  • For projects listed in Annex II, the national authorities have to decide whether an EIA is needed. This is done by the "screening procedure", which determines the effects of projects on the basis of thresholds/criteria or a case by case examination.
  • For projects smaller than limit given in Annex II, the "pre-screening procedure" is needed, which determines if the screening procedure is necessary

The processing of the EIA Documentation is carried out by experts for the respective fields, qualified – on the basis of the acquired authorization. It is recommended an authorized person to work on the EIA screening-procedure study. In our studio we process the EIA procedure studies and the EIA Documentation for all kinds of projects which are presented in the Annex 1 to Act 100/2001 Coll.

We also provide the required assessments which form the groundwork or individual part of the Notification and the Documentation – air quality and acoustic studies, acoustic measurements, health risk assessments, dendrology and zoological surveys, day lighting of residential buildings studies, etc.
